So,
you want to study in Australia? The land of dusty mountain ranges and iced
vovos? Well, you've come to the right place.
Note: for some countries, it is no longer possible to get Permanent Residency in NSW without having a sponsor who lives in another state! And, of course, English plays a big part of any long term move to Australia. You will need to pass the IELTS test to be able to study here. IELTS is a lot harder than TOEIC, especially the oral presentation (speaking) part of the test, and most major businesses in Australia will not employ you unless you have fluent English. It's also very hard to communicate in English
in Australia
What do you mean? I hear you ask! British English, Australian English and American English are different. A text book is unlikely to help you communicate and your dictionary may only list British or American words. Here's an example.
Each word means the same but has a different level of popularity in the country you're in. Or what about phrasal verbs, idioms and slang? Australians popularly use these in everyday speech. You can read some example dialogues on our one-on-one page. If you need help with understanding these terms, contact Adult English School which specialises in helping to integrate students into Australian society.
